White Labeling and Custom Branding
SWELL offers comprehensive branding and white labeling options so your CRM looks and feels like your own platform. From basic color customization to full custom domain support, you can tailor the experience for your team and your clients.
Branding (All Paid Plans)
Available under Settings > Branding, these options let you customize the look of your SWELL account:
Colors
- Primary color -- Used for buttons, links, and accent elements throughout the app
- Secondary color -- Used for complementary UI elements
- Sidebar, topbar, and content area -- Customize background and text colors independently
- Modal and card styling -- Adjust background, text, and border colors
All color changes are applied in real time across your entire account using CSS custom properties.
Typography
- Set a custom font family that applies across the interface
Custom CSS
- Inject your own CSS for advanced styling needs beyond the built-in options
Theme
- Choose between theme options and toggle auto dark mode
White Label (Business Plan and Above)
Available under Settings > Advanced > White Label, these options fully remove SWELL branding:
Custom Logo
Upload your own logo (max 2MB) to replace "SWELLEnterprise" throughout the application, including the sidebar navigation, login page, and email headers.
Custom Favicon
Upload a favicon (ICO or PNG, max 512KB) to replace the default SWELL favicon in browser tabs.
Login Background
Upload a custom background image (max 5MB) for your login page, creating a fully branded sign-in experience.
Custom Domain
Point your own domain (e.g., crm.yourcompany.com) to your SWELL account.
Setup steps:
- Enter your desired domain in the Custom Domain field
- Create a CNAME DNS record pointing to dashboard.swellsystem.com
- SSL is automatically provisioned once the DNS record is verified
Once configured, your team and clients access the platform through your custom domain.
Where Branding Appears
Your branding customizations carry through to:
- Main application -- Sidebar, topbar, content areas, modals, and cards
- Login page -- Logo, background image, and brand colors
- Proposals -- Client-facing proposals display your logo, brand colors, and company name
- Emails -- Outgoing emails show your logo in the header and your company name in the footer
- Client portal -- If using a custom domain, portal links use your domain URL

Reseller White Labeling
If you are a SWELL reseller managing multiple client accounts, you can apply your own branding configuration that cascades down to all your managed tenants. Tenants that set their own branding override the reseller defaults. See the Reseller Program article for more details.
Tips
- Upload a logo with a transparent background for the best appearance across light and dark themes.
- Test your color choices in both the main app and the login page to ensure readability.
- When setting up a custom domain, allow up to 24 hours for DNS propagation before SSL provisioning completes.
