Account Settings

Account Settings


Manage your profile, preferences, and account configuration.


Accessing Account Settings


  1. Click your profile menu (top right)
  2. Select "Settings" or "Profile"
  3. Or go to SettingsAccount


Profile Information


Basic Profile


Required:

  • Name: Your full name
  • Email: Email address (used for login)
  • Password: Secure password


Optional:

  • Phone: Phone number
  • Avatar: Profile picture
  • Bio: Brief description
  • Timezone: Your timezone (important!)


Timezone


Critical Setting: Your timezone affects:

  • Scheduling availability display
  • Invoice due dates
  • Task deadlines
  • All time-based features


To Set:

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Select your timezone
  3. Save


Notification Preferences


Configure how you receive notifications:


Access: Settings → Notifications


Notification Types:

  • Email: Email notifications
  • In-App: In-app notifications
  • SMS: Text messages (if configured)
  • Push: Browser push notifications


Common Events:

  • New booking requests
  • Invoice payments
  • Task assignments
  • Lead status changes
  • Project updates
  • Team mentions
  • Reminder notifications


Security Settings


Password


Change Password:

  1. Go to SettingsSecurity
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Save


Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters (recommended: 12+)
  • Mix of characters recommended
  • Cannot reuse recent passwords


Two-Factor Authentication


If available:

  1. Go to SettingsSecurity
  2. Enable "Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes securely
  6. 2FA enabled


Active Sessions


View and manage login sessions:

  1. Go to SettingsSecurity
  2. See "Active Sessions"
  3. View all logged-in devices
  4. Logout All: Sign out from all devices


Preferences


Language


Set preferred language (if available):

  1. Go to SettingsPreferences
  2. Select "Language"
  3. Save


Date/Time Format


Configure display formats:

  • Date Format: How dates display
  • Time Format: 12-hour vs 24-hour
  • Timezone: Already set in profile


UI Preferences


Theme (if available):

  • Light mode
  • Dark mode
  • Auto (based on time)


Booking Profile (Scheduling)


If using scheduling:


  1. Go to SettingsProfileBooking
  2. Configure:
  • Booking Slug: Custom URL (e.g., /meet/john-doe)
  • Enable Public Booking: Allow people to book
  • Booking Bio: Description for booking page
  • Booking Avatar: Photo for booking page
  1. Save


Data & Privacy


Data Export


Export your data:

  1. Go to SettingsData Export
  2. Select data types
  3. Choose format (CSV, JSON)
  4. Click "Export"
  5. Download when ready


Data Deletion


Request data deletion:

  1. Go to SettingsPrivacy
  2. Click "Request Data Deletion"
  3. Confirm request
  4. Data deleted per retention policy


Troubleshooting


Can't update profile?

  • Check required fields filled
  • Verify email format
  • Try refreshing page
  • Check permissions


Timezone issues?

  • Verify timezone in profile
  • Check browser timezone detection
  • Ensure server timezone correct
  • Test scheduling availability


Notifications not working?

  • Check notification preferences
  • Verify email settings
  • Test email connection
  • Check spam folder
