# Using Proposal Templates

SWELLEnterprise supports two levels of proposal templates: **Full Proposal Templates** (entire proposal structures) and **Section Templates** (individual reusable sections).

## Full Proposal Templates

A full proposal template saves all sections from an existing proposal so you can reuse the same structure for future proposals.

### Saving a Proposal as a Template

1. Build your proposal with all desired sections in the Proposal Builder
2. In the sidebar, find the **Templates** card
3. Enter a name for your template
4. Click **Save as Template**
5. The template saves all sections, their content, settings, and items

### Applying a Template to a New Proposal

1. Create a new proposal or open a draft
2. In the sidebar Templates card, select a template from the **Start from Template** dropdown
3. All sections from the template populate your proposal
4. Customize the content as needed for this specific client

## Section Templates

Section templates let you save and reuse individual sections across different proposals.

### Saving a Section as a Template

1. In the Section Navigator, find the section you want to save
2. Click the **bookmark icon** next to the section
3. The section is saved as a reusable section template

### Inserting a Section Template

1. Click **+ Add Section** in the Section Navigator
2. Under **Saved Sections**, you will see your saved section templates
3. Click one to append it to your current proposal
4. The section is added at the end; drag to reorder as needed

## Managing Templates

Navigate to **Proposals > Templates** to manage all your templates:

- **Edit** template names and descriptions inline
- **Delete** templates you no longer need
- **Filter** between Full Proposal templates and Section templates
- **Search** templates by name

## Cloning a Proposal

You can also duplicate an existing proposal directly:

1. Go to the **Proposals** list
2. Click **Clone** on any proposal
3. A new draft is created with all sections, items, and content copied
4. The clone gets a new proposal number and "Copy of" prefix in the title
5. Client signatures and sent/viewed timestamps are cleared
