Email Marketing


Create and send email marketing campaigns to grow your business and nurture customer relationships.


What is Email Marketing?


The Email Marketing module helps you:

  • Create Campaigns: Design professional email campaigns
  • Manage Lists: Organize subscriber lists
  • Send Emails: Send to targeted audiences
  • Track Performance: Monitor opens, clicks, conversions
  • Automate: Set up automated email sequences


Email Lists


Creating Lists


Organize your subscribers:


  1. Go to MarketingEmail Lists (or EmailLists)
  2. Click "New List" or "Create List"
  3. Configure List:
  • Name: List name (e.g., "Newsletter", "Customers")
  • Description: What the list is for
  • Double Opt-in: Require email confirmation (optional)
  1. Save: List created


Adding Subscribers


Manual Add:

  1. Open list
  2. Click "Add Subscriber"
  3. Enter email address
  4. Add name (optional)
  5. Save


Import:

  1. Open list
  2. Click "Import"
  3. Upload CSV/Excel file
  4. Map columns
  5. Import subscribers


From CRM:

  1. Go to CRM → Contacts
  2. Select contacts
  3. Add to email list
  4. Contacts subscribed


Creating Campaigns


Campaign Builder


  1. Go to MarketingCampaigns (or Email MarketingCampaigns)
  2. Click "New Campaign" or "Create Campaign"
  3. Configure Campaign:
  • Name: Campaign name
  • Subject: Email subject line
  • From: Sender name and email
  • List: Target email list
  1. Design Email: Use editor to create content
  2. Preview: Test how email looks
  3. Schedule or Send: Send immediately or schedule


Email Design


Editor Features:

  • Drag & Drop: Easy email builder
  • Templates: Start from templates
  • Custom HTML: Advanced HTML editing
  • Images: Add and manage images
  • Links: Add clickable links


Content:

  • Text: Write email content
  • Images: Add images
  • Buttons: Call-to-action buttons
  • Personalization: Use merge tags ({{name}}, etc.)


Sending Campaigns


Immediate Send


Send right away:

  1. Complete Campaign: Finish design
  2. Click "Send": Send button
  3. Confirm: Confirm sending
  4. Emails Sent: Campaign sent to list
  5. Tracking Starts: Opens and clicks tracked


Scheduled Send


Send later:

  1. Complete Campaign: Finish design
  2. Click "Schedule": Schedule button
  3. Select Date/Time: When to send
  4. Save Schedule: Campaign scheduled
  5. Auto-Send: Sends automatically at scheduled time


A/B Testing


Test different versions:

  1. Create Variants: Create multiple versions
  2. Test Subject Lines: Different subjects
  3. Test Content: Different email content
  4. Send Test: Send to small group
  5. Choose Winner: Select best performing
  6. Send to All: Send winner to full list


Campaign Analytics


Tracking Metrics


Monitor campaign performance:


Open Rate:

  • Percentage of emails opened
  • Indicates subject line effectiveness
  • Industry average: 20-25%


Click Rate:

  • Percentage of links clicked
  • Indicates content engagement
  • Industry average: 2-5%


Conversion Rate:

  • Percentage that completed action
  • Tracks goal completions
  • Varies by goal


Bounce Rate:

  • Percentage that failed to deliver
  • Indicates list quality
  • Should be under 5%


Viewing Analytics


  1. Open Campaign: Go to campaign
  2. Analytics Tab: View performance metrics
  3. See Details:
  • Opens over time
  • Clicks by link
  • Top performing links
  • Geographic data
  • Device breakdown


Automation


Drip Campaigns


Automated email sequences:


  1. Create Sequence: Set up email series
  2. Define Triggers: When to start (signup, purchase, etc.)
  3. Add Emails: Add emails to sequence
  4. Set Timing: Days between emails
  5. Activate: Sequence goes live
  6. Auto-Send: Emails sent automatically

Troubleshooting


Campaign not sending?

  • Check SMTP settings
  • Verify email list has subscribers

  • Avoid spam triggers


High bounce rate?

  • Clean email list
  • Remove invalid emails
  • Use double opt-in
  • Verify email addresses
