Manage your email communications directly within SWELLEnterprise.
What is the Email Client?
The Email Client module lets you:
- View Emails: See emails in your inbox
- Send Emails: Compose and send emails
- Organize: Organize emails with folders/labels
- Track: Track email opens and engagement
- Integrate: Link emails to CRM records
Setting Up Email
Connect Email Account
- Go to Email → Settings
- Click "Connect Email Account"
- Choose provider:
- Gmail: OAuth connection
- Microsoft/Outlook: OAuth connection
- IMAP/POP3: Manual configuration
- Authorize connection
- Account connected
IMAP/POP3 Configuration
For manual setup:
- Select Protocol: IMAP (recommended) or POP3
- Enter Settings:
- Server: IMAP server address
- Port: Usually 993 (IMAP SSL) or 143 (IMAP)
- Username: Your email address
- Password: Your email password or app password
- Test Connection: Verify settings work
- Save: Account connected
Using the Email Client
Viewing Emails
Inbox:
- Go to Email → Inbox
- See all emails
- Filter: By sender, subject, date
- Search: Search email content
- Sort: By date, sender, subject
Email List:
- Unread: Bold unread emails
- Read: Normal text for read
- Starred: Important emails marked
- Attachments: Paperclip icon for attachments
Reading Emails
- Click Email: Open from list
- View Content: See full email
- View Attachments: Download if attached
- See Thread: View conversation thread
- Reply/Forward: Take action
Composing Emails
New Email:
- Click "Compose" or "New Email"
- To: Enter recipient email
- Subject: Email subject
- Body: Compose message
- Attachments: Add files if needed
- Send: Send email
From Record:
- Compose from contact/company record
- Email address auto-filled
- Context included
- Link email to record
Replying to Emails
- Open Email: Click email
- Click "Reply": Reply button
- Compose: Type response
- Send: Reply sent
- Threaded: Reply appears in thread
Email Organization
Folders/Labels
Organize emails:
- Inbox: New emails
- Sent: Sent emails
- Drafts: Saved drafts
- Trash: Deleted emails
- Custom: Create your own folders
Marking as Read/Unread
- Mark Read: Click to mark as read
- Mark Unread: Mark to keep as unread
- Bulk Actions: Mark multiple at once
Starring Emails
Mark important emails:
- Click Star: Star icon on email
- Email Starred: Marked as important
- Filter Starred: View only starred emails
- Unstar: Click again to remove star
Email Integration
Linking to CRM
Link emails to records:
- Compose from Record: Email from contact/company
- Auto-Link: Email automatically linked
- View in Record: See emails in contact/company record
- Track Communications: Full communication history
Email Tracking
Track email engagement:
- Opens: See when email opened
- Clicks: Track link clicks
- Replies: See reply status
- Bounces: Track delivery failures
Best Practices
- Organize Regularly: Keep inbox organized
- Link to Records: Always link emails to CRM records
- Use Folders: Organize with folders/labels
- Star Important: Mark important emails
- Reply Promptly: Respond to emails quickly
- Track Engagement: Monitor open/click rates
- Archive Old: Archive or delete old emails

Emails not loading?
- Check email account connection
- Verify IMAP/POP3 settings
